Ride For Refuge

Pastor Jack and the New Hope Cyclones are inviting all walkers and riders to sign up for a September 30 fundraiser to help refugees and vulnerable new immigrants get settled in New Hope’s new Surrey home.

The Walk will be in Richmond. If you can’t ride [10, 25, 50 km] or walk [5 km] then you can pray and sponsor one of our participants. This is a good family event. All are welcome. Let’s get as many as possible and make this a special day. The Fraser Valley churches have challenged the City churches in our Fellowship to see who can raise the most for New Hope.

Here’s the schedule for the RIDE:

• 7:00 am – Registration opens

• 8:00 am – 50 km riders

• 9:00 am – 25 km riders

• 9:30 am – 10 km riders

• 10:00 am – 5 km walkers

• 10:30 am Registration close

• 10:30 am – Yummy food begins

• 12:00 pm – Route closes

The Valley Churches have some larger members so we’ll have to be creative and generous. Look up rideforrefuge.org and choose Canada/donate/ New Hope Cyclones. All gifts will receive an immediate tax receipt. New Hope is also raising $8000 toward matching funds for a new van for their work.

Cheques can be made to New Hope and given to the Faith office. On-line donations can be given through Canada Helps.org or Chimp with a designation to New Hope Community Services Society. State “van” on the memo line.
