Church Overview

Arising out of an army hut in the 1940s, Faith Fellowship Baptist Church was formally founded in 1957 and has been in its present location in South East Vancouver since 1964. From the beginning, and in each new generation, the members of Faith have been committed to following Jesus Christ and bringing his truth, grace, and love to all those around us.

Faith is a reflection of the beautiful city of Vancouver it has been blessed to be planted in. Multi-generational and multi-cultural, people from many different backgrounds are welcome and worship together. Celebrate special occasions like our annual Circle of Nations Day, Canada Day, Christmas, or invite a friend and attend our celebration luncheons! We are blessed to have the ability to provide opportunities to reach our surrounding community and deepen our love for God and eachother.

Faith values teamwork! We could not do what we do for our community and our church without the help of our volunteers, ministry leaders and staff. May those who are able to serve experience a reorientation in their relationship with God, understanding of God and sense of identity under God.

The community outreach is primarily focused on reaching our neighbors outside the church. Some of its ministries include: our onsite daycare centre, support for refugees and first nations’, yearly summer camps, outreach to international students, bread distribution ministry, and support for missionaries, both locally and abroad.

Ministries at Faith include: family, men’s and women’s, children’s, youth, and young adults’, seniors’, prayer, greeting, newcomers, visitation, audio-visual, sound, worship, community meals, bread ministry, and faith groups.

This last year we have had the opportunity to breathe new life into ministries with the welcoming of Young Adult Ministry leaders, Owen & Lusine White. As a team they open the doors to young adults seeking to make life-long connections in their faith as well as in their peer groups.

Seeking God’s wisdom and direction through prayer as new opportunities, leadership, development of ministries and growth at Faith move us forward into the future. Our prayer ministry welcomes Scott Peacock as prayer ministry leader.

The Executive Administrator takes care of the support sytems of the church which include partnerships, rentals, building needs, technology and electronic equip., hospitality events, admin communications, including working closely with the Lead Pastor and financial team. In addition, she is chair on consortium meetings and leads the digital media team.

At the beginning of 2023, Pastor Jeremy MacDonald began leadership at Faith as our Lead Pastor. With a focus on biblical truth and ‘growing young’, he leads Faith forward in reaching the next generation of believers; opening doors for individuals seeking God’s truth. We are excited for the future as we see God’s hand on his ministry and church.
